WHAT IS PRP FACIAL REJUVENATION?

PRP Rejuvenation is a treatment that stimulates collagen production with the infusion of your own platelet-rich plasma (PRP) via a fractional micro-needling pen device, leading to fuller, tighter, younger-looking skin.  It rejuvenates your skin in a natural way with minimal downtime.

WHY WE NEED PRP REJUVENAION?

Platelets contain growth factors that activate and rejuvenate cells in the body. They induce collagen production, which is vital in keeping skin firm and supple. A person loses about a teaspoon of collagen in the face each year after age 30. Therefore, it is critical to promote collagen production when striving for a more youthful look.

WHO IS A GOOD CANDIATE FOR THE TREATMENT?

If you are developing fine lines and wrinkles with aging or have sun damage, PRP can help. PRP stimulate natural collagen production for complete facial rejuvenation. It can provide volume to the entire face, plump cheek indentations, reduce hollows under your eyes, improve your skin tone, tightness, and texture, and brightening. It also can be used augment areas where hyaluronic acid fillers would not be effective or safe.

HOW IS PRP REJUVENATION PERFORMED?

A sample of blood is obtained from the client (about the same amount that would be drawn for a lab test).  The blood is spun at a very rapid rate in a centrifuge to separate the platelet-rich plasma (PRP) from the other components of the blood.  The resulting natural, yellow serum contains more than 8 potent growth factors that are then deposited back into the dermal layer of the skin following the use of a micro-needling device.

The micropen creates “channels” in the skin with a series of very fine needles.  Once the tiny channels are created, the PRP is able to penetrate into the dermis and epidermis.

WHAT TO EXPECT?

Improvement in the skin is seen with each treatment, but a series of four treatments about a month apart is recommended for optimal results.  The procedure takes anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the areas treated.  We recommend having a maintenance treatment every 6 months.
